VMB4RYNO vs. VMBDMI-R

I am trying to decide which of the two components to use in a certain scenario, so I’d like to know:

  1. Is the VMB4RYNO solid state, or is it a mechanical, audibly noisy relais? Some decibel info would be nice to show in the specs.

  2. Is VMBDMI-R suitable for instant on/off in place of the above, if there is no other silent option? I mean, for use with non-dimmable devices. The description only cites “operation modes: dimming - slow on/off - timer - multistep dimmer - moods …”

Thanks!

The VMB4RYNO is a mechanical relay and makes an audible click sound when switched.

The VMBDMI-R goes slowly on and off (0-100% and vice versa during a few seconds), not instantly. So not an ideal solution either for use as a relay.

Hi

What kind of load are you planning on switching?

There is an unorthodox solution using a VMB4RYxx if you are interested.

Drop me an email if you’re interested.
