Yes, knowing why is very important.

I did make the wild assumption that the remote cabinet would have mains power, because it’s got Velbus hardware in to control local devices.

But you make a good point.

If… The local devices were all 12V and their supply had enough headroom, I would be tempted to power the Velbus modules from it too.

Similar if they were 24V, but I’d put a dropper in there too.

All that said, like everyone else, I am intrigued to know what’s causing the volt drop.

I’m still trying to identify where the problem can come from… opening all glass panels to see if there is a bad connection…
I will try to solve the problem, and put a new PSU as a last resort… (I have 220V arriving in my remote cabinet)
