Alarm On with delay

Hello,

I have connected an indoor siren to a VMB7IN. I have also programmed a Velbus push button for ALARM ON (and ALARM OFF). This sets a non-restartable timer with a trigger delay when the doorcontact opens.

Now, I would like this timer to start only after 30 seconds. This way, you can turn on the alarm and still have time to go outside without the indoor siren going off.

Does anyone have an idea of what action I can use to program this? I can’t seem to find the appropriate actions for this.

While I don’t advise putting building alarms into Velbus, purely for legal and insurance reasons.
In theory everything is possible.

I’d suggest putting your Alarm Enable action onto a Virtual Relay

Then link that to a button with a delay ON action, with a short run time.

Press the button
Timer starts
Timer expires, virtual relay turns on
Virtual relay enables the alarm.
Virtual relay times out and switches off (no change elsewhere)
