I just found the solution. It may be obvious, but I had to check this box:
I didn’t know about it’s existence and it’s kind of hidden in home assistant. Apparently there’s a dashboard ‘velbus’ in the side panel where you can change the settings.

hello
i was able to add my velbus to a new ha green
but now it keeps saying no devices or entities
is there something that i need to do extra ??
What connection details did you enter into the add-on?
hello
this is what i enterd
the wierd thing is now i reload and it is now
inside my velbus i have mutch more
do i need to instal an extra add on ??
i whas wrong ip adres whas 192.168.0.60:27015
Also
It’s
tls://
Not, tsl
And apparently, there is a TLS checkbox that needs a tick somewhere within HomeAssistant
As shown here
i deleted the one i installed and try to instal it again like you said
but now i cannot find any way to log in always say unknown error
any idea whats wrong here ??
i also restarted my signum multiple times via de reset switch
Just as a benchmark,
What are the exact details you need to enter into Velbuslink’s TCP/IP connection option in order to get it working?
We don’t need to know here, just for your reference, as that is exactly what you need to put into any other software to get it up connect.
But, I see from some of your screenshots that you have had a working connection, so are you asking why HomeAssistant is showing less assets than signum?
the working connection did not work
it looks like it connected for a sec en loaded some parts but whas not able to keep connected
today i am going to the store to look for a usb a to usb a cable and try to connect the new ha via usb to the signum
my first ha i just enterd my signum nr and the ip adres
tryd multiple times nog it does not seem to work
only thing that i have in my mind is that both the ha unit wont the same adres and that may be one of the faults
but for the life of me i am not an it guy so would not know how to change that
May I suggest that you look at what Velbuslink uses to connect and confirm that it’s stable first.
I appreciate you’re not an IT expert, so please keep it simple to start with.
We need to identify where the issue is, rather than change connection methods.
If signum works and Velbuslink works over your LAN, then the problem is within the new HA box.
my original very stable
that why i thing that the new one is trying to fight over the adres they are both trying to be local 8123
i just unplugd the signum and now the new ha is stable
that more or less confurms my thougt that they are fighting for the same gate
any idea how to change that
I’m a little confused.
Are you suggesting that your new HA device is clashing with the IP address of your Signum?
The Ports / Gates on each machine should never conflict, because they reside on different machines.
indeed stupid of me to think that i whas confusing gate with ip adres
like i say not an it expert
but for the life of me i can not get the velbus instaled again
alway the same error ( unkown error )
everything else work flawless on the nog HA exept velbus
al problem are solved now thats to the great work of maikel punie ( cereal2nd ) on git hub
there where things wrong with the settings in velbus and problem on the HA green
thanks again maikel to look into in and settings op
Excellent news.
Are you both happy to add a link to your GitHub communications, for others to read that might have a similar issue?
i contacted him via mail true github

he whas kind enough to do a remote view into my computer en reinstalled some stuff en modified some code
honnest seen what he did not in a milion years i would have found the problem
it took him the better part of an hour mey b little more to find and fix the error
this whas a part of the problem he screenshot
