Hi. I have my desktop (Debian 10 Buster) in my office able to control my office lights and temperature mode directly from my screen via the Argos Gnome Shell Extension (Argos - GNOME Shell Extensions) and a script. The idea for this came from a post on openHAB (Control OpenHAB via Gnome Shell Linux / MacOS Menu Bar (Argos, BitBar) - Tutorials & Examples - openHAB Community).
