Dimmer VMB1DM going off unexpected

Since a week one of my 4 VMB1DM dimmers acts very strange:
When pushing a switch (triggerd by a VMB8PB, VMB4PD, or even the PCB button on the dimmer itselve) the light goes on for 2 to 5 seconds, flickering heavy, and then goes off completly. Half of the time even nothing happens.
The problem started a week ago but increased each day. Beginning of the week only 1/10 times failed, now 10/10 failed.

The load of the dimmer: 4 conventional resistive light bulbs of 60W each.
I’m using mode 3 (dimmer with memory function).
The timer is set to F.

The setup was working fine for 2.5 years now.

Any ideas?

Most likely, the problem is related to the dimmer hardware.
We’d recommend to return the dimmer for inspection/repair to:

Hello Velleman support,

I sent my faulty dimmer to the address below, as requested.
I also attached a printout of the thread below for your information.

But I still had no answer for weeks now. Any updates on this?

Thanks a lot!
