Multi-touch inputs?

is it in the roadmap to include multi-button presses…? essentially to achieve the following…

problem today: the On/Off short and dim on long press has the DIM LOW as initial action… that means if the light is already at 1% (memory) when switching on… holding the button long switches the light off almost immediately (as there is no minimum value #feedback 1) so you have to like to switch on + dim UP… you get into a fight… switch on… hold… hold… (without it switching off again)… which all in all is really annoying… (now solved by just asking Alexa to set the light at a value #OpenHab)

so ideally I would like to be able to press lets say button 1 (light source) + button 2 (dim up) or button 1 + button 3 (dim down)… for example…

that way… i can now also make nicer combinations with LED’s… where button 1 (light source) + button 4 changes the color as well…

My friend has some Zigbee 3 rocker switches that with this allow him to run 16 different channels this way making it way easier to control smart lights…

I hear you. My current system (unfortunately no longer supported so migrating to Velbus) will start a dim up/down sequence on a long press from the current setting. If the light had been turned on with a short press the the long press will dim it down. However if the light had been dimmed it will remember if the previous operation was up/down and will reverse the direction. I get used to it

Are you referring to the

“Memory at short press, Dim at long press 0203” action?

https://cdn.velleman.eu/downloads/velbus/00_general/guide_velbus_actions_descriptions_en.html#act_0203

yes - that doesnt have a minimum of 1% but actually goes all the way down to 0% - switching everything off again… so once you are at the low end of percentages its really annoying to figure out if its going more or less bright

Yeah, there is that issue.

I tend to avoid that action for exactly that reason.
