NIKO recently introduced pushbuttons with white LEDs. When using 4 or 6-fold pushbuttons, the LEDs of NIKO are used but for the 2-fold pushbuttons the Velbus interface provides the LEDs. We would like to have the white LEDs for all buttons that show LEDs.
As (for the moment) the Velbus interface is only available with amber or blue LEDs, would it be possible to replace the LEDs myself with a white version by carefully removing the LEDs and soldering on new ones? If so, what would be the specifications of that LED (voltage and current). Should I be careful considering the possible brightness of the LEDs? Is there any option from the Velleman catalogue?
Or would you recommend against doing this?
