SunSet _ Sunrise Lights on/off

I am probably a moron. But I can’t seem to figure out how to switch lights on at sunset and how to switch then off at sunrise. I enable sunrise/sunset on a VMBPOD. Then I added a program step that I should press the button that toggle the relay for 0.25sec on sunrise and then the same on sunset. But that does not seem to work. VMBPOD is set to the active program 1. But nothing is happening. Pressing the button manually works.

Any hints appreciated.

Perhaps you haven’t synced the settings to the module? The program steps should be on program 1.

I have the same setup, VMBGPOD-2 is the only difference and it works. Is the firmware up to date?

I can confirm that everything is uploaded to the module. Can you confirm this is the right way to do it? Do you know if there is any log somewhere to look at?

Silly question…

Have you enabled the Sunrise / Sunset timer?

(Operate a channel of the PIR and you should see a section where you can enable them)

Yes I did. But I think I know what went wrong. Might be the clock that was wrong. Will check tonight if it worked

I’m never very far away.

We’re very very very very slowly making progress over here, it’s been a much slower process than I ever imagined it would be.

Did it work? If not, another few things to check:

  • The button you use for the action has a delayed action longer than what the program does
  • The program is deactivated and needs activating

I also use GPODs and I have one that I also use to activate / deactivate various programs with buttons. Handy!
