Simple question : why choose VMB6IN rather than VMB8PB ?

VMB6IN features optical isolation and allows ten of meters between contacts and module. VMB8PB has been designed to put directly behind pushbuttons.

What is the max length allow between the VMB8PB and the push buttons ?
Are a somelower-cost 1-3 pushbuttons modules planned ? I wonder why a module dedicated to direct connection behind buttons allow so many switches

You can have up to 4 buttons at one side of a wall and 4 on the other side, which connect to the same pb interface. We do not recommend to stretch the leads that are supplied with the module.
