Hi there, im new here. Hope someone can help me out with a couple of ‘problems’.
I got a vmbpirob in my installation. I set an extra page to my vmbgpodb for the outdoor temperature. However the temperature is not correct. I configured the vmbpirob to send the temperature every 60 seconds. What am i doing wrong?
I also set the vmbpirob to turn on a light in the drive way. I used the “and” function. The light should turn on when there is movement and its dark.
I set the output “dark” to suppress while the contact is open and the movement output to turn on the light with a turn off delay of 10 minutes. But the light keeps switching on when there is movement during day time.
Can someone help me out here?
I couldnt find anything with the search function.
What do you mean by “not correct”? You can set a calibration offset in the VMBPIRO configuration dialog > advanced. Does that solve your problem? (Don’t forget to sync of course).
Sending the temperature is unnecessary, unless you have a Home Center. The VMBGPOD queries the temperature itself. So unless you have a Home Center, you can set the send value to “never”.

Actually what you need is the “Light dependent motion” channel. Delete the actions you made, forget the dark and motion channels, and instead simply connect a “light dependent motion” channel with the light relay, using a “momentary” action. In the VMBPIRO config > Light dependent motion, set the Timeout to the desired delay (10 minutes in your case), and the Light threshold value (in the field “value”). The channel will only close when motion is detected AND it is darker than the light threshold value.
Ok thanks for the advice, the home center is coming in a few months when internet and stuff is up and running.
The motion detection is working properly now, but in what case can i use the dark output then?
The pirob is giving a 36°c temperature, but thats not possible at the moment. Its 22-26°c max at the moment. How come i have to put an offset to the measurements?
The temperature sensor needs to be calibrated in every case. One has to consider also that putting a black case in the full sun (if that is your case) inevitably will drive up temperatures. In order to measure temperatures comparable with those measured in the shadow, some shadow should be provided.
The dark output is typically used for a dusk sensor; to activate eg. facade lighting when it gets dark.
