Can a VMB8PB be switched by a transistor?

Could anyone confirm that the VMB8PB uses it’s inputs switched to ground? I wish to use a NPN transistor output light switch and not sure if it has to be a volt-free contact.

No, you need to use a VMB6IN.
The VMB8PB reverses polarity so you cannot use a transistor.
